High Pressure Die Casting - speed, precision and volume at scale.
Complex, near-net-shape parts - consistently and repeatably.
High pressure die casting (HPDC) is the process of choice when you need high volumes of dimensionally accurate aluminium components with excellent surface finish and fast cycle times. Molten aluminium is injected into a hardened steel die under high pressure, producing complex, near-net-shape parts consistently and repeatably.
Alucast operates an 800-tonne LK HPDC machine - commissioned as part of our £2m+ 2024 investment programme - alongside a range of smaller machines, giving us the flexibility to serve both high and medium volume requirements.
- 01High production volumes requiring consistent part quality
- 02Complex thin-wall geometries with tight dimensional tolerances
- 03Applications requiring fast cycle times and minimal post-processing
- 04Automotive, hydraulic and industrial components where repeatability is critical
